Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits from Holbein to Warhol,The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston
Tudors to Windsors: British Royal Portraits from Holbein to Warhol sheds new light on changing ideas of monarchy and nationhood in Britain. The exhibition features portraits of British royalty spanning 500 years, by artists from Hans Holbein and Sir Joshua Reynolds to Annie Leibovitz and Andy Warhol.
Terence Donovan’s 1990 portrait of Diana, Princess of Wales is both on display and has been selected by the Museum as one of the lead images for the exhibition.

The archive is delighted that Paul Martineau, Associate Curator at the Getty Museum, selected Terence Donovan’s 1960 ‘Thermodynamic’ men’s fashion image for inclusion in this major survey of twentieth century fashion photography. Icons of Style traces one hundred years of fashion photography, highlighting iconic moments and figures in fashion history.
